Hillary Clinton Endorses Marriage Equality

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton today joined the Human Rights Campaign’s Americans for Marriage Equality series, a public engagement campaign featuring prominent Americans who support committed gay and lesbian couples getting married.
As Secretary of State, Clinton was an outspoken advocate on the world stage for global LGBT rights.
Today Clinton openly endorses marriage equality and speaks of the joy seeing her daughter marry and wishing that for parents of gay and lesbian couples who want to marry.

"Secretary Clinton is like millions of everyday Americans who have reflected on the issue of marriage equality and come to the conclusion that we must treat others as we would like to be treated,” HRC president Chad Griffin said. “It is the golden rule that is moving our country inexorably toward marriage for gay and lesbian couples.”
