Careful my friends that drive to West Hollywood and park on the streets with meters. The city of West Hollywood decided to change the time on the meters from 6pm to 8pm. In the past you could park without paying the meters after 6pm now the new hour will be enforced until 8pm. This is just another way the city is trying to get more money out of people who come out to party in the city of West Hollywood. The city cites they are only doing this to encourgage people to park in the parking structures that the city has built, which means they just want you to pay for parking the the parking structures as if we are already spending to much in the bars drinking. This is just another reason for me not to go to West Hollywood anymore and just go to more parking friendly places that have gay clubs and bars!!!

Supreme Court Decision on Gay Marriage

Supreme Court Justices Still Deciding on Gay Marriage

All eyes seem to be on Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, whose vote could be essential in the case. At one point he talked about the children of gay couples, noting that they wanted their parents' unions to be recognized. "The voice of these children is important," Kennedy said. But later he told the lawyer for gay couples challenging the ban that the issue was in "unchartered waters."

Kennedy also questioned whether the court should be considering Prop 8 and whether gay-marriage opponents had the legal right to defend Prop 8, after California officials declined to appeal its overturning -- raising the possibility that the Supreme Court could punt on the merits of Prop 8, declining to set a federal precedent on gay marriage in this case and deferring to a lower court's ruling to overturn California's ban.

Justice Elena Kagan, President Obama's second appointee to the court, asked the lawyer defending California's gay marriage ban what harm would be done to heterosexual marriage if gay and lesbian marriages were legally recognized. He answered that same-sex marriage would do harm that is difficult now to foresee.

This hot topic is sure to cause a lot of controversy as the Supreme Court Justices decide the fate on gay marriage though out the country.

CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman reported a current NFL player who is gay is seriously considering coming out publicly in the next few months with the intention of continuing his football career. If and when this player decides to come out he would be the first such player ever to come out while still playing for a Professional team in a major American sport.

The name of the player was not known to Mike Freeman at the time he reported. "I honestly think the players of the NFL have been ready for an openly gay player for quite some time now," Scott Fujita, a free agent linebacker, told CBSSports.com. "Trust me, the coming out of a player would create much bigger waves outside the locker room than inside. The way I've seen the conversation around LGBT issues evolve, especially in the past few years, has been encouraging. Guys are more accepting than they used to be. Even those who raise personal objections to homosexuality, some of whom are good friends of mine, would still be able to coexist and accept a gay teammate."

Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien, the highest ranking Catholic in the UK recently resigned because of on going scandel. The scandal began earlier this year when reports that Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien had "inappropriate contact" with male priests appeared in the British press. O'Brien, resigned the next week, admitting that his "sexual conduct has fallen below the standards expected of me."

This is the same Catholic Cardinal who said Homosexuality Was 'Moral Degradation' and O'Brien was called "bigot of the year" by gay advocacy group Stonewall last year after saying gay marriage a "grotesque subversion of a universally accepted human right" and that same-sex partnerships were "harmful to the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of those involved."

O'Brien had a "long-standing physical relationship" with a man whose accusations went public.
He was known to have been in regular telephone contact with Cardinal O'Brien until recently, and was a frequent visitor to St Benets, O'Brien's official residence in Edinburgh's Morningside."
O'Brien is reported to have admitted to the relationship.
According to the Herald, this man and others made the decision to go public with their complaints in reaction to comments from O'Brien that they perceived as anti-gay.

The 34-year-old Franco, said back in 2011 about his gay speculation. “It’s funny because the way that kind of stuff is talked about on blogs is so black-and-white,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s all cut-and-dry identity politics. ‘Is he straight or is he gay?’ Or, ‘This is your third gay movie — come out already!’ And all based on, gay or straight, based on the idea that your object of affection decides your sexuality.”

"Part of what I’m interested in is how these people who were living anti-normative lifestyles contended with opposition," he said regarding his choice to play gay roles. "Or, you know what, maybe I’m just gay.”
